What To Expect

​

During our private glass blowing classes, you will receive specialized instruction and one-on-one time with a Jack Pine Studio glass artist. This personalized interaction allows for tailored instruction that meets your unique needs and learning pace, leading to a deeper understanding of glass blowing. You will get to choose from a variety of different items to focus on and create in class, from our signature pumpkins to ornaments. What will you choose to create?

You don’t have to worry about investing in any special tools or coming to class with your own glass materials. We’ll provide everything you need. Simply bring yourself and a drive to learn one of the greatest craft forms! We also suggest you dress comfortably and ready to work a sweat—glass blowing can turn up the heat. Don’t forget to wear closed-toed shoes!

A Note About Safety

​

Between the sharp tools and open flames, glass blowing involves some safety risks. However, if you listen to our artists, dress appropriately, and adhere to our studio’s safety guidelines, you can minimize those risks. Glass blowing should be fun—staying safe guarantees just that!

Class Duration

​

Private glass blowing lessons come in an hour, 90-minute, and two-hour durations.

​

We recommend an hour for one participant and 90 minutes for two. Choose a time that you think will allow you to create your best work and meet your scheduling needs. We also suggest arriving at your class early, so we can start on time and maximize on your session.

Class Souvenirs

​

We all know one of the best parts of learning to blow glass is the final product. Your glasswork will be available for pickup two days after the class or can be shipped for an additional fee.
